It uses slow, firm pressure and targeted strokes to release chronic muscle tension, break down knots (adhesions), and improve movement. What it involves The therapist uses hands, thumbs, forearms, and sometimes elbows to apply deeper pressure than a traditional relaxation massage. Movements are usually slow and concentrated on specific tight areas rather than flowing across the whole body. Pressure is gradually increased to reach deeper muscle layers.
